Double Cone blenders provide an efficient but gentle blending action. They are usually designed as fixed shell blenders (where the Double Cone is permanently attached to the support plinths).

There are many designs of Double Cones.

Pharmatech's standard Double Cone shape has a 45° upper section and a 60° lower section. These different internal angles add to the asymmetry of the container and so improve the blending efficiency. Also, a 60° lower section will aid product flow when it is discharged.
